Sermon for June 10th, 2018
Today we will be in the Gospel of Mark. Mark tells us about a time that Jesus was out speaking at Peter’s house. Jesus’ family came and wanted to restrain him because they thought he was out of his mind. The Scribes were also divided against Jesus. They thought he was working for Satan. Jesus did say that he hasn’t brought peace, but a sword. These words are played out in front of us in today’s text as his family and those who would see harm come to him are actually on the same side. The message of Jesus can bring division amongst family, friends and community. Is there any hope for unity?
Listen to the message today and be challenged by God’s Word.
