Sermon for March 18th, 2018
Jesus asks the difficult question, “Who do you say that I am?” He walked off the mountain onto the beach out into the bay and did not sink in the middle of the storm. Who is this guy? He took the boys picnic lunch and turned it into an all-you-can-eat buffet for thousands of people. Who is this guy? He wove leather strips together into a whip and purged the temple of money changers and hucksters. Who is this guy? He takes his disciples up the mountain and then shines like the sun before them along with two Old Testament guys who have died. Who is this guy? Although God repeatedly through history gave the nation of Israel clues that he planned to get them back and he would do so through a Messiah, the people of Jesus’ day for the most part missed the fact that Jesus was God’s provision for restoring his relationship with man.
We will look at four claims of Jesus as he asks the question, “Who do you say that I am?”
It is important to have an answer as Jesus followers to that very important question. What is your answer?
Listen to the message today and be challenged by God’s Word.
